All our bathroom suites have been expertly curated to perfectly blend seamlessly with one another.

From the different types of bathroom suites available to what you need to consider before buying, we’ll help you make the right choice for your home.

What is a bathroom suite?

A bathroom suite is a collection of products that have been expertly selected to make life easier when designing your new bathroom. Each piece included in the bathroom suite will perfectly fit with each other by sharing similar features, colours and specifications.

Typically, a bathroom suite will consist of a toilet (including cistern) and basin, but there are lots of variations to help you build your ideal bathroom, including the addition of a bath, shower and even furniture. There are solutions for all types of bathrooms too, including ensuites, cloakrooms and family bathrooms.

When buying a bathroom suite, you can shop with peace of mind, knowing you’ll receive a set of pieces that coordinate together and will help you to create a space that looks and feels great.

How much does a bathroom suite cost?

How much a bathroom suite will cost you depends largely on what is included in the set of products.

A standard three-piece suite that consists of a close coupled toilet with cistern & seat, full pedestal basin and a single ended bath, like this Vellamo Connect Bathroom Suite, will cost around £359.99. However, there are budget options available for as little as £289.99 like the Emma 3 Piece Bathroom Suite. For those looking for more luxurious options, you might prefer the Harbour Icon Bathroom Suite with Rimless Toilet & Double Ended Bath at the higher end of the scale and can expect to pay around £499.99.

For complete bathroom suites that feature more components such as a vanity unit, shower, bath and basin taps and wastes, there are also lots of options to suit all budgets. Prices range from £400- £600 for budget options, rising to £800-£1200 for the higher end sets.

In all cases, choosing to buy a complete bathroom suite will save you money on the individual items included, so it’s well worth having a look at what’s on offer! Plus, you won’t have to worry about searching for individual components and whether they will fit or look good together.

Can I install a bathroom suite myself?

While you might think that installing or replacing your existing bathroom suite is easy, there is actually quite a lot of planning involved. We would always recommend using a certified plumber or bathroom installer to carry out the work safely.

The scope of work will depend on your existing bathroom, what needs to be removed and replaced and whether there is any additional plumbing or building work required.

We offer a 3D design service which is a great way to visualise your chosen bathroom suite in your space prior to making the purchase. That way you can make sure the suite looks and fits nicely with your room dimensions and layout. Our expert designers are also able to advise on products and layout to help you get the best out of your space within your budget.

Using a tradesperson can be a really quick and efficient way to get your bathroom suite installed. They will have experience handling and fitting these types of sanitaryware and should be able to avoid pitfalls.

How long it takes to install a bathroom suite will vary depending on the suite you have ordered  and the amount of work that is required. Generally, a standard three-piece suite (basin, toilet and bath) can be installed in around 8 hours so long as there is no major plumbing or building work required. However, it can take up to 2 weeks if you’re having more work completed.

The cost to install a bathroom suite using a tradesperson again varies on the job, products to install and the area you live in. A plumber usually costs between £250 and £500 for a day’s work. They may offer you a discount on larger jobs so it’s well worth discussing the scope of the job to agree on a price before they begin.

What are the different types of bathroom suites?

Here at Drench, we have launched an extensive range of bathroom suites offering a solution for every type of home. Whether you are after pieces for your family bathroom or a smaller ensuite or cloakroom, we have ranges to suit all budgets.

There are standard two and three piece suites, but you’ll also find bathroom sets which feature a basin, toilet, bath, bath screen and a shower enclosure, or other sets which comprise a toilet pan, cistern, basin, pedestal and a bath. Confused? Don’t worry. Let’s take a look at some of the different types more closely, so you can decide which is right for you.

Toilet and basin bathroom suites

Toilet and basin bathroom suites provide you with a close coupled toilet, cistern and seat and matching basin which are perfect for styling your smaller spaces like an ensuite or cloakroom. Our ranges offer both modern and traditional styles and budget friendly options as well as more luxury styles.

Cloakroom and ensuite bathroom suites

Finding an affordable solution for your downstairs cloakroom or ensuite can be a challenge as space is often limited and budgets tight. Luckily, we have a selection of bathroom suite ideas that will work perfectly. We have carefully matched toilet and basin combinations that suit the needs of these types of bathrooms in either classic, modern and traditional styles.

Bathroom suites with baths

Typically known as your standard three-piece suite, bathroom suites with baths consist of a close coupled toilet, cistern and seat, basin and bath, and bath panel if desired, expertly chosen to seamlessly fit together in your bathroom. Perfect for a standard sized family bathroom where space is at a premium and you need a reliable and long-lasting set of sanitaryware. We also offer bathroom suites with specially selected taps for your basin and bath which is really useful if you are undergoing a full refurb or just want to have a new look to your brassware too!

Take a look at some of our newest launches below:

Bathroom suites with showers

Many of us prefer the convenience of a shower every day, but still like to have the option of a bath, so our bathroom suites with showers are the perfect solution. Our suites feature a number of full shower kits and enclosures, alongside other essentials like a toilet and basin. The showers come in a range of special finishes such as brushed brass and matt black as well as chrome to suit your aesthetic.

Bathroom suites with shower baths

For family bathrooms or smaller spaces, a bathroom suite with a shower bath may be the perfect choice. With a shower bath, you get the option of having showers while your younger children can still enjoy bath time at night. The shower sits over the bath with a bath screen for splash protection. The shower bath suite also comes with a toilet and basin.

Vanity unit bathroom suites

Storage can be a real problem area in bathrooms thanks to limited space, but we tend to have lots of accessories and items we need to keep within reach. A vanity unit provides the perfect solution by giving you drawers while incorporating a basin to maximise space. Our vanity unit suite includes a selection of vanity units as well as other items like a bath, toilet and shower.

Choosing a bathroom suite

If you’ve decided a bathroom suite is the right choice for you then the next step is to figure out which one type will suit your bathroom.

There are many things to consider when buying a suite. One of the most important is the size of the bathroom as this will determine how many pieces will comfortably fit. Usually a family or main bathroom will have enough space for a three-piece suite, namely a basin, toilet and bath. However, you may have additional space for a shower enclosure or alternatively opt to install a shower bath.

If you have a big household where the bathroom will take lots of use then consider whether having the additional storage provided from a vanity unit may be beneficial. Plus, the shape of the items and whether they will be suitable for small children. Having a shower bath or separate shower enclosure can be really useful for families with younger children and teenagers in the same house!

Finally, if style is important and you want your bathroom to match the rest of your home’s aesthetic, look out for suites that have more of a traditional or modern look to them depending on your preference.

Modern bathroom suites

Modern bathroom suites are classic designs with smooth finishes and curved, contemporary shapes. Our modern suites also feature a range of vanity unit basins which are great for storage and for adding additional style to your bathroom. The shower kits featured in our bathroom suites are available in a range of finishes such as chrome or matt black for a really modern touch. Finally, the basin and bath taps featured in our modern bathroom suites have more angular and sleek designs with lever or joystick handles and a range of special finishes.

Traditional bathroom suites

If you prefer to opt for a more traditional bathroom or you have a period property then our traditional bathroom suites have lots of options. The basins will feature full pedestals with more classic toilet and bath shapes. There will also be authentic features such as squarer profiles, splash backs and period style handles and flush. Basin and bath taps will be more curved and arched and will usually have distinctive crosshead style tap heads. You’ll also be able to find more period finishes such as brushed nickel, chrome and antique gold.

Are there any extras I will need for my bathroom?

Depending on what is included within your suite, you may need some additional pieces to complete your bathroom. Our suite product pages will let you know what additional items you will need.

If you choose one of our standard three-piece suites consisting of basin, toilet (with seat and cistern) and bath, you will also need items like a basin tap and waste and a bath tap, waste and bath panel. If you want to add a shower you will also need to purchase the shower head, handset and valve and bath screen separately. But before you do that, take a look at our shower suites and shower bath suites which will have lots of these items included already!

Close coupled toilets will usually include the toilet seat and cistern, however, if the toilet included in the suite is a back to wall model then you might need to purchase a separate frame, unit or cistern if you don’t have those already installed.

If you’re not sure what extras you need, you can always contact our Live Chat team who will be happy to help you. Just click on the chat box at the bottom of the screen.
