The Drench difference
Providing you with protection against sudden changes in your basin tap water supply, the Protherm In-Line thermostatic valve takes separate hot and cold water supplies and internally mixes them together to provide a safely controlled water outlet. With a thermostatic valve your chosen temperature is maintained and kept constant throughout your wash, leaving you to relax and enjoy your wash time. If water is turned off for momentary pauses, then the thermostatic valve will automatically find the exact temperature once again for your complete safety and pleasure.
Engineered to a high specification, TMV3 valves were originally designed to prevent burn accidents from scalding water. TMV3 valves hold a higher technical standard than TMV2 valves, so they are fitted in all public buildings such as hotels, nursing homes, schools, hospitals and public bathrooms. Both valve sides come with single check valves fitted to the inlets to prevent water crossflow and protect against contamination. The Protherm In-Line valve fixes with 15mm or 22mm fittings and can be hidden or exposed in your bathroom depending on your pipework and interior fixtures.
This high-spec valve from Vado comes with a confident 5 year guarantee for your peace of mind, and supports H2eco flow regulator technology — Perfect to fix with your i-Tech basin mixer !

Your water pressure depends on your home's water system. It’s important to consider water pressure when buying a new tap or shower. Buying a product with a minimum water pressure that’s too high for your home will result in poor performance.
- With a combi boiler you can usually expect between 1 and 2 bar
- With a gravity system (cold water tank in attic) you may have as little as 0.1 or 0.2 bar upstairs, and perhaps 0.5 bar downstairs
- With a high pressure unvented system (hot water cylinder, no cold water tank) you will generally have between 1 and 3 bar
You can install an item with a low minimum pressure rating on a high pressure system, but avoid installing an item with a high minimum rating on a low pressure system! Read our guide to water pressure to learn more.
